Jon and Kate Plus 8: series finale recap

  The final episode of reality series ‘Jon and Kate Plus 8’ aired, last night on the TLC network.  So is there any possibility of the couple reuniting?  Jon sums it up this way: ‘We're (Kate and Jon) definitely not gonna be married again… I'm moving forward, I know what I have to do. To become friends with Kate. To continue my relationship with Hailey [Glassman].’

Here are some other highlights from the show:

-Kate opened up about Jon’s flings: ‘[The kids] don't know about the girlfriends at all…That's just too warped for them, too unhealthy for them to know. They're learning at this age by watching us what it's like to be an adult, but that's the last thing I want them to know."

 

-Ms. Gosselin even had to hold back tears while talking about her marriage : ‘I never had a clear picture of how it would end. It's too soon.’  (hope she’s truly referring to her marriage and NOT the show)

 

-Jon, on the other hand, has moved on and said:  "It's unfortunate that our marriage failed…We're gonna have to strive to be the best parents we can whether we're married or not.'' 

 

-J admitted that because he got married so early (at age 22) maybe he’s ‘reverting to 23’ (which explains all his ‘torrid’ affairs).  

 

 

-Throughout the entire episode, Jon and Kate were interviewed and recorded with the children separately.  Kate took the 8 (LOL!) to a farm where they milked cows; Jon set up a lemonade stand to raise funds for a local fire department.  Things took a ‘turn for the worse’ when the oldest children, Mady and Cara, began complaining and said they liked stuff they did ‘with Mommy.’  Jon wasn’t having it and sent them to the house!  OUCH!
